At Nokia our approach is to continuously improve environmental sustainability in all our products. Here are a few recent examples:

Nokia 3110 Evolve is a mobile device where technology meets ecology:

50 percent of its bio-covers are from renewable sources.
It comes in small packaging made of 60 percent recycled content.

Nokia 5630 XpressMusic leads the way for new environmental innovations that will be rolled out for many of our new products.

In addition to Nokia 5630 XpressMusic device, also our recently launched products Nokia E55, Nokia 6720 Classic and Nokia 6710 Navigator come with many of our latest sustainable and energy saving features.

Nokia High Efficiency Charger AC-8 lets you charge your battery with a clear conscience. AC-8 uses just 30mW in no-load mode (the amount the charger uses if you forget to unplug it when the phone is fully charged). It uses 94 percent less energy when not charging that the Energy Star requirements specify.

Nokia High Efficiency Charger AC-10 with just 0.15W no-load ensures that devices using micro-USB chargin have also an energy efficient option available.

All our new charger models meet or exceed the EPA's Energy Star v.2.0 requirements.

Eco declarations

Since 2001 Nokia has provided Eco Declarations of all its products. The Eco Declaration provides basic information on the environmental attributes of the product covering material use, energy efficiency, packaging, disassembly and recycling.
